Everyone should go check out the V&A museum. They had this really awesome fashion exhibit called 'Maginificence of the Tsars'. Unfortunately, like the tube, you are not allowed to take pictures. Not for lack of trying though, I was almost 'escorted' out...

One major difference I've noticed between London and the states is that in London, you'll see a lot more people going all out. In the states a lot of people will dress in a certain style but keep a 'natural' hair color, style, etc. But, in London, they mean business.
